I love to cook, but I am not a natural. I'd like to think I have common sense in the kitchen, but feel most comfortable following a recipe. I also love crafts, exercise (although this passion comes and goes, to be honest) and I love any activity outdoors. We love the Lord, and praise Him for how he has blessed our lives. We continually want to serve Him, but as any human, are by far from perfect.
Newly married and living in an apartment can be challenging. We do not have the space to keep all the latest kitchen gadgets or household items that recipes and projects call for, but I like to improvise. As newlyweds, we only got what was on our registries, and got what we didn't receive as presents by using our gift cards. Even that didn't cover everything we registered for. Then there's those things that we couldn't register for because its just not practical, such as drawer dividers that won't even fit in our drawers. So, my mother taught me how to use other household items or objects to work within the kitchen. It may not be the most stylish, but really, we are just trying to live, save, and be happy. Fancy drawer dividers do not make me happy.
I am not a writer, cook, or seasoned crafter. I like to discover, experiment, create, and share what I do. So that is all I am aiming to do here, as well as share some positive vibes that you can live happy and healthy without every man-made invention.
For those that don't like surprises or improvising doesn't come as easy, I'd like to try to make things easier. I hope my trials and experimenting can help you relax and enjoy!
